Supporting Speaking Practice by Social Network-Based Interaction in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Assisted Language Learning

In recent decades, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has led to increasing use AI speaking apps in foreign language learning. This research investigates impact social network-based interaction on students’ English practice with assistance China. During summer vacation, 70 students from different Chinese universities and majors were recruited for experiment. They required skills five weeks divided into two groups. Participants experimental group encouraged engage various interactive activities when practicing apps, while those control asked without interaction. Data collected through questionnaires semi-structured interviews as well pre-and post-tests. The results indicated that generally held positive attitudes towards using their spoken English. finding also showed can effectively improve learners’ context. study contributes implementation promotion networking extends previous studies AI-assisted learning environment. An investigation interactions based platforms such WeChat be further applied other Facebook or WhatsApp cultural contexts practice.
